Are you an active participant in your life?

Perhaps you are just going through the motions?

Our attempts to 🏄 surf the daily tidal wave 🏄‍♀️of information and demands can put us firmly into autopilot gear, not to mention survival mode.

All too often, work was about 🔸getting through🔸 each quarter.

When I got ill, the only choice was to slow down.

In the stillness of the slow down, the realisations came flooding in.

My default energy state, (which I’d normalised) was frazzled😩

All the precious time lost to autopilot and survival mode.

My mind wheeled out the “shoulda, coulda, woulda’ mind gremlin’s.

Stinging as these realisations were, they prompted me to do things differently.

First off, was to re-examine how I’d slipped into existing instead of living.

Thinking is at the very root of who we are – but when in autopilot or survival zone not much thinking is possible.

As Descartes wrote, ‘I think, therefore I am’.

The more clearly, effectively and consciously we think, the better we are able to live.

If you don’t like the results you are getting in life and want to lead yourself towards something different, consider how you might improve your ability to think well.
